Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before making a booking

1. Booking and Confirmation

All bookings with Sri Lanka Holidays Tours begin with an enquiry. Once we understand your travel dates, preferences, and group size, we will send you a personalised quote. Your booking is not confirmed until we receive your deposit payment and a copy of your confirmed air ticket, and we send you a written confirmation by email or WhatsApp. Until that point, availability cannot be guaranteed.

Please review your confirmation carefully and let us know within 48 hours if anything is incorrect.

2. Payment Terms

A deposit of 10% of the total tour cost is required to secure your booking. The deposit must be paid no later than 15 days before your tour start date. The remaining balance can be paid in advance or during your travel in Sri Lanka.

Payments can be made by bank transfer or through our designated payment methods, which will be confirmed at the time of booking. All prices include the services listed in your itinerary.

3. Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your booking:

  • More than 10 days before the tour start date — no charges; your deposit is refunded in full
  • 7 to 10 days before the tour start date — 50% of the deposit is refunded
  • Fewer than 7 days before the tour start date — the deposit is non-refundable

Cancellations must be submitted in writing, either by email to bookings@srilankaholidaystours.com or by WhatsApp. The date we receive your written notice is the date used to calculate any charges.

If we cancel your booking: In the rare event that we need to cancel due to force majeure (natural disasters, political instability, severe weather, public health emergencies, or any event beyond our reasonable control), we will notify you as soon as possible. In such cases, we will offer a full credit toward a rescheduled trip or a refund of payments made to us, minus any unrecoverable third-party costs already incurred on your behalf.

4. Changes to Your Itinerary

We plan every itinerary carefully, but Sri Lanka's conditions — weather, road closures, local events, wildlife activity — can occasionally require adjustments. We reserve the right to modify routes, accommodation, or activities when necessary for safety, operational reasons, or circumstances beyond our control.

When changes are made, we will always offer an alternative of equivalent or greater value. We will communicate any significant changes to you as early as possible.

5. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travellers purchase comprehensive travel insurance before departure. This should cover medical expenses, trip cancellation, lost baggage, and personal liability. Sri Lanka Holidays Tours does not provide travel insurance and cannot be held responsible for costs that would otherwise be covered by a suitable policy.

6. Limitation of Liability

Sri Lanka Holidays Tours acts as an organiser and coordinator of travel services provided by independent third parties, including hotels, transport operators, and activity providers. We take care in selecting our partners, but we cannot be held liable for personal injury, illness, loss, theft, damage, delay, or additional expenses caused by the actions or omissions of third-party suppliers, or by circumstances outside our control.

Our total liability to you in any circumstances shall not exceed the total amount paid to us for your tour.

7. Your Responsibilities

Travellers are responsible for ensuring they hold a valid passport, the correct visa or ETA for Sri Lanka, and any required vaccinations or health documentation. We are happy to advise, but the responsibility for meeting entry requirements rests with you.

8. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising from your booking with Sri Lanka Holidays Tours will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
